Pioneer, inventor, and initiator: In Germany industrial circular grinding is closely connected with the name Bernd Weiß. In 1993, he founded the company CNC Technik Weiß after more than fifteen years professional occupation in the reknown company Karstens, manufacturer of circular grinding machines. Today, the company is offering circular grinding technique in perfection. Advice, service, special solutions, repair service and training are making it a full service partner for circular grinding for its customers. Still today a main focus of the company Weiß to tale care of about 300 former customers of the company Karstens.
About 25 employees develop and construct the standard and special circular grinding machines. In 2008, about 20 new and overhauled circular grinding machines left our company and are now used all over the world. After moving to our new premises at Neckartailfingen more than 3.200 square meters working surface is available.
On the market there are innumerable service providers and suppliers of retrofit machines, but unfortunately less and less real specialists. The circular grinding technology is our disclosure. Since more than 25 years we are dealing with Karstens circular grinding machines.
At the beginning of our business activity, the main focus was the service and repair of components as well as job order production in the fields CNC turning, milling and the circular grinding of prototypes, spindles and individual parts. On the basis of this knowledge, we are additionally dealing with complete rebuilding of Karstens circular grinding machines since 10 years.
We maintain all series of Karstens circular grinding machines. No matter if it is regarding classic conventional Karstens model types ASA, KCB, B, K21 – K24, K11 or all Karstens CNC machines type K16, K19, K25, K26, K27, K28, K33, K37, K50, K52, K53, K56 up to K60.
Today our extremely large spare part storage allows us to serve all our customers short-term. More than 350 satisfied customers all over Europe cannot be a coincidence. Already today we have more than 50 completely rebuilt machines at the premises of our customers which are used for production. 5 years ago we have extended our range of products with our own new developed circular grinding machine on the basis of this wide experience. Its basis was always the proven Karstens circular grinding machine. However, it was continuously improved using new technologies, new controls and switch cabinets, digital drives and moreover more dynamics for circular grinding using contemporary grinding technologies.
Customers such as Bosch, INA, DC, ZF, SKF, SEW, Federal Mogul and lots more have decided by conviction to use our products in direct comparison with renowned manufacturers of grinding machines. We have returned this trust to our customers by delivering top machines partially fully automated for the three-shift operation and a technical availability of up to 98%.
